How To Clean Your ElectroStatic Filter

Fields marked with a * are required.

When you clean your filter as directed, your permanent electrostatic filter will give you many years of trouble free/ clean use. Failure to properly clean the filter may lessen filter effectiveness, and as with any filter, it is possible for an excessive dirt buildup to cause air flow resistance sufficient to damage other ventilation components. Most times the permanent filter should be cleaned about every 4-6 weeks.

How to Clean Your Filter:

  • Simply remove the air filter.
  • Flush with water in opposite direction of air flow arrows then rinse other side.
  • Spray with Zap Cleaner to remove stubborn stains. (Or other cleaner)
  • Rinse thoroughly to remove remaining dirt.
  • Drain excess water, let air dry, and reinstall.

We recommend the Zap Cleaner. Zap cleaner is a special permanent electrostatic filter cleaner.
